811 is an international platform for social and environmental change with local teams in Germany, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, USA and Chile. The team consists of more than 25 associate and volunteer advisors.

2811 is a social enterprise based in Chile, Colombia and Germany. The organisation is named 2811 because on 28 November (28.11) 2015, Chile used up its natural resources for the first time before the end of the year. Deciding to reverse this trend, the founders of 2811, Gabriela Carrasco and Waldo Soto from Chile, used this turning point to bridge the gap between the formal/informal education sector (schools, vocational schools, colleges, universities) and methods and dynamics of social entrepreneurship and climate action. Today, 2811 has become a global platform for social innovation, implementing a wide range of projects in Europe and Latin America. Among other things, the platform activates and strengthens innovation ecosystems in which different agents of change work for environmental, social and economic regeneration.
